This scholarship recognizes two exceptional secondary school students who demonstrate both academic excellence and a genuine passion for architecture and design. Ideal candidates will exhibit a clear commitment to pursuing future studies in architecture or planning.
Eligibility
- Open to grade 12 students in ÎÛÎÛÂþ» secondary schools.
- Must be applying (and later accepted) to an architecture degree program in Canada.
- Must provide proof of status in Canada.
- Domestic students of African/Black/Afro-Caribbean background must provide proof of either Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- International students of African/Black/Afro-Caribbean background who are applying to eligible scholarships must provide proof of student status in Canada.
- Able to demonstrate involvement and leadership in school and/or community activities.
- Able to show significant personal achievements beyond scholastic ability, which may include personal accomplishments in spite of adversity.
- Able to demonstrate financial need.
- Complete scholarship maintenance requirements.
Judging
Our panel of judges will evaluate each submission and choose the recipients. The award winners will be contacted and presented with the award in the fall of 2025.

- Two reference letters
- Official copy of current student transcript
- Samples or a portfolio (up to 3 items) of your work in the area of architecture/design

Scholarship value
$48,000 for each award (or $12,000 per year over 4 years)
