Earlier this month, 42 staff from 5050 and student volunteers showed up to give their time and roll up their sleeves to stuff 300 backpacks in a record time of 45 minutes. Although backpacks and supplies are a common purchase for the start of school, for some it is a difficult one. This year’s campaign aims to provide 3000 students with much-needed backpacks and supplies to give them that extra boost and confidence.
